Be a
yardstick of quality. Some people aren't used to and environment where
excellence is expected.
-Steve Jobs
The picture and
quote that I choose was inspired from the article Why should I be led by You?
While reading this article some of the myths of leadership and what it takes
to be a leader were reviled. As a teacher, I stress to my students that they
can each achieve in their own way and it not important what everyone around
them is dong. It is when you do
YOUR personal best that matters. Being a quality person is a quality of a
leader regardless of where you may be.
When reading the leadership myth, People who get to the top are
leaders, this stood out. What's more, real leaders are found all over the
organization, from the executive suite to the shop floor. By definition,
leaders are simply people who have followers, and rank doesn't have much to do
with that. From this I feel that no matter who or where you are you can posses
the ability to be a leader by being a quality individual and doing your
personal best.
